tshirt logo 2007On June 2, 2007 Team WGC: Colorguard Spin for the Cure gathered in downtown Washington D.C. for a beautiful walk through our nation’s capital to represent the colorguard community in the fight against breast cancer for the Komen National Race for the Cure.  In our second year, thanks in large part to Brenda Hogan (team co-captain) we were able to raise over $2,000.00 putting us at over $10,000 total over the past 2 years!

It was a beautiful day and local news media reported that nearly 45,000 participants gathered downtown for the event.

We found that the team ended up quite small this year so we will be re-evaluating our strategy next year in working towards our goals of encouraging the colorguard community to participate in the fight against breast cancer.  There are several ideas in the works so check back to this website at the end of the summer to find out what’s happening and how you can help!
